As a dedicated problem-solver, Dr. Yadav was drawn to emergency medicine by the challenge of delivering health equity to the bedside. While authoring dozens of articles and grants, he is also an advocate for students, residents and fellows, inspiring others through his leadership. Building on a foundation of two master’s degrees, two board certifications, and a strong academic track record, he has pursued research projects collaboratively with the community to address the most current and challenging concerns of the underserved.

Kathryn Hawk’s trailblazing research pushes the scientific boundaries of both emergency and addiction medicine by focusing on ED-initiated buprenorphine and linkage to treatment for opioid use disorder. She has worked to expand the implementation of best practices for ED patients with addictions nationwide and has been highly influential in driving the development of ACEP’s content and vision to improve the care of ED patients with OUD.
